Mudbugs Acquire Shaw from ColoradoOctober 18, 2005 - Central Hockey League (CHL) Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs
Shaw, a native of Surrey, British Columbia, spent last season with Elmira of the United Hockey League and finished second on the team in penalty minutes with 202 in 72 games, while also adding one goal and five assists. In 2003-2004, the 24-year old split time in the CHL with San Angelo and Corpus Christi. Shaw spent his junior career in the British Columbia Hockey League and was a junior teammate of Mudbugs defenseman Dale Lupul.
Blair leaves the Mudbugs after going 29-11-7 in 47 games with Bossier-Shreveport. All of his six career shutouts came with the Mudbugs in his nearly two-year span which began in December of 2003 after a trade with Odessa. Last season, the 27-year old netminder went 12-6-5 in 23 games with a 2.71 goals against average and a .901 save percentage.
