Lynx announce training camp roster
October 6, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release
With the ice frozen at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center and awaiting the cut of skate blades, the Augusta Lynx released their training camp roster today in anticipation of Sunday's first team practice.
Augusta will bring 30 players to camp for the opening skate on Sunday, with the possibility of some roster adjustments still to come.
As for familiar faces, Phil Cole, Jamie Johnson, Colt King, and Treavor Peterson return from last year. Former Lynx Sam Ftorek returns after a five-year hiatus, and Martin Lapointe is back after a season that saw him named Defenseman of the Year for Berlin Preussen SC in the German Oberliga.
Rookies on this year's roster include defensemen Chris Pedota, Ken Scuderi, Ryan Thrussell, and Eric Lundberg, with freshman forwards Paul Kelly, Chris Chaput, Rich Hansen, and Jeremy Wilson appearing up front. In net, John Yaros, Chris Levesque, and Cam Ellsworth will all compete for a position with the squad as well.
The complete list of players who will break camp with the Lynx appears below.
