Kean returns to Komets fold

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced today that 4 more names have been added to the preseason roster including defenseman Jason Kean.

Kean, 26, will be returning to the lineup after skating 46 games with the K's last season scoring 11 goals and adding 22 assists to lead Komet defensemen with 33 points. Kean was also named a UHL All Star appearing with team Mountain Dew in the annual event. 2005-06 will be Kean's 3rd year as a pro.

Also added to the Komet preseason roster were goaltenders Michael Dilorenzo and Brian Gratz along with forward Brad Perry. Dilorenzo, 22, made his first pro appearance last season with San Angelo of the Central Hockey League (5gp, 1-3-1, 2.79 gaa).

Gratz, 24, attended Bishop Dwenger High School for 2 years before attending Lake Forest Academy in Chicago. The Fort Wayne native also attended Penn State University where he graduated in 2004. Gratz filled the position of emergency back-up goaltender for the Komets in a few games last season and has yet to see action as a pro.

Perry, 30, played 2 games as a pro during the 1998-99 season with Toledo in the ECHL and skated a stint with Madison in the United States Hockey league.
