Lafayette, Indiana - Richmond was defeated 9-3 on Monday night by the Ohio Valley Redcoats. The game was a stalemate until the fourth when the Redcoats jumped out to a six-run lead which they would not give up. Richmond has now lost 10 out of its last 11 games.

The starting pitchers held the other batters in check until the fourth inning when the Redcoats managed to score six runs on just five hits. Jaziel Mendoza hit a three-run homer and Jason Boyd added a two-run triple to give Ohio Valley the first lead of the game. Richmond scored two runs in the fifth on a pair of RBI hits by Mike Bidwell and Joe Rhomberg. The Roosters got another run in the seventh on a run-scoring single by Chris DiBlasi, but the Redcoats scored a run in the sixth, and two more in the eighth to lead by half a dozen again at 9-3.
