Bayhawks take on Rattlers at home

June 24, 2005 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Washington Bayhawks

Baltimore, MD (June 24, 2005) - The Baltimore Bayhawks and the Rochester Rattlers will square off in their rematch this Sunday at 4:00 P.M. at Johnny Unitas Stadium. Last week, the Bayhawks came charging back against the Rattlers after an 8-2 halftime deficit, to secure an 18-11 win at Rochester. With a victory, the Bayhawks will hold the new record for the best start in MLL history at 5-0, while the Rattlers are looking to get their first win of the season on Sunday. The Bayhawks will also take the season series with a victory on Sunday, which the Rattlers won for the first time last year 2-1.

This game also marks the return of former Bayhawks attackman Andrew "Buggs" Combs to Johnny Unitas Stadium. What makes Combs' return even more interesting is that he is an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Towson University with Bayhawks starting defenseman Shawn Nadelen and midfielder Ben Defelice. Look for the two to battle it out for bragging rights in Johnny Unitas Stadium, which is also the home of the Towson Tigers.
