Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH)—The Lake County Captains will take the field tonight against the first-place Hagerstown Suns in the wrap-up of a seven-game homestand at Classic Park. The first one thousand kids age 14 and under will receive a Captains fielders glove courtesy of Lake Hospital System. Gates at Classic Park will open this evening at 6:00.
Earlier in the homestand, the Captains were forced to postpone games on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday due to inclement weather. Tickets for those games are good for tonightÂ’s game or any 2005 regular season home game, based on availability. Tickets must be exchanged in person at the Captains ticket office. Plenty of good tickets remain for tonightÂ’s game against the Suns.
The Captains will be looking to win their third straight game over Hagerstown. The Captains knocked off the Suns 4-3 Thursday to pull to within 2 ½ games of first place in the SAL North. After tonight’s game, the Captains will begin a four-game road trip in Lexington, Kentucky.
In addition to the baseball glove giveaway, it will also be Crazy Hair Night. Prizes will be given awarded in he eighth inning to fans with the craziest hair-dos. The Captains will also be welcoming groups from the Cleveland Metro Ski Council, the Girl Scouts and the Captains Reading Program.
