Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, NH (April 6, 2005) You can usually tell Wolves fans apart from those of other teams because they travel in packs. On Friday, April 8, 2005 at 5pm the packs will converge on Manchester City Hall for the "Rally in the Alley" and following the speakers the enlarged pack will make a "Wolves Walk" to the Verizon Wireless Arena a few blocks away.

"Manchester has embraced the Wolves, and the excitement is building for the opening game of 2005 with our new head coach," said Wolves GM Angelo Mazzella. He added, "We expect great things this season, and this rally sets a winning tone."

Jack Baldwin, announcer at WMLL "The Mill" will open the festivities along with Kate Benway from Intown Manchester. Manchester Mayor Robert Baines, Wolves Managing Partner Steve Shubert, Head Coach Ben Bennett, and Mazzella will speak and psyche up the crowd, then lead the rally down Elm Street to the Verizon Wireless Arena for the Wolves first kickoff of the 2005 season. Dance team members and mascot, Blitz will be in attendance as well, so make sure that you bring your cameras for pictures and your pen for autographs.

"What beats a pep rally for a football game... nothing! This is going to get the players and fans so pumped up for the first game," stated Head Coach Ben Bennett.

Local and state dignitaries are getting ready for the 2005 Wolves as well. Mayor Baines and New Hampshire Governor John Lynch will be in attendance at the first game to officiate over the coin toss. The outdoor concourse will be in full force once again. The 168 Magazine stage will have national recording artists," The Whatnot", and Vertical Dreams will once again have the popular climbing wall among the many outdoor amusements that precede a Wolves game. Come out early for the pep rally and outdoor fun, followed by our new coach taking on his old team in the opener.

A few seats are still available. For individual tickets to Friday's game go to www.ticketmaster.com, or visit the Verizon Wireless Arena box office. If you have an interest in season tickets call the Wolves office at 603.627.WOLF (9653). Don't miss it!
