Lightning blow past Storm in Game 3

Rockford, IL- Rockford found themselves in a do-or-die situation when facing the Great Lakes Storm in Game 3 on Saturday afternoon. Rockford dominated three of the four quarters in the ball game, and lived to play another day with a 137-122 victory over the Storm.

Rockford was edged in the first quarter, 40-37, but won the second, and took the lead into the locker room at the half, 71-68. Unlike the previous two contests, where Rockford failed to hold on to the lead, the margin kept increasing, winning 39-28 in the third, and edging Great Lakes 27-27 in the fourth. Stais Boseman paced the Lightning in the victory, going 11-for-24 from the field to score 33 points. Jermaine Walker also had a big game for the Lightning, as he went 12-for-28 to contribute 28 points. Boseman had a double double in the game, as he added a game high 10 assists to his point total. Jermaine Tate was the high rebounder for the Lightning, as he brought down eight rebounds in the contest. Great Lakes was led once again by Ezra Williams, who's led the Storm for the second straight night with 31 points. Rockford now is down 2 games to 1 in the series, with Game 4 taking place Sunday afternoon.
