Vigier Named CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week

Chicago Wolves right wing J.P. Vigier (vee-ZHAY) has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 27, 2005.

The 28-year-old forward registered six points (3G, 3A) and a +4 plus/minus rating last week, which includes a season-high three points (2G, A) in Sunday's 5-2 victory against the St. John¹s Maple Leafs.

The Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba, native is currently on a five-game point streak and shares 11th in the AHL with a team-most 55 points in 58 games. Vigier paces the team with a +21 plus/minus rating and shares first on the club with 22 goals and second with 33 assists.

Last year, Vigier recorded 18 points (10G, 8A) in 70 games with the Atlanta Thrashers in his first full season in the National Hockey League. Overall, he has accrued 23 points (14G, 9A) in 100 career NHL contests.

In recognition of his achievement, Vigier will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Wolves home game.
