Quenneville signs with 'Dogs

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League have signed rookie forward Justin Quenneville to a contract for the 2004/’05 season. Quenneville joins the ‘Dogs following an outstanding college career at St. Michael’s College in Vermont.

Quenneville led the Purple Knights in scoring as a junior and a senior. He racked up 87 points in his last 53 college games. Quenneville helped the Knights to a conference playoff championship last season. He was a second team All ECAC pick in 2004 and was an ECAC All Rookie choice in 2001. Quenneville was an alternate captain for St. MichaelÂ’s last season. He averaged more than a point and a half per game in his college career.

· The ‘Dogs now have 19 players under contract for 2004-’05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jordan Roach, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, Trevor Senn, Mark Turner, Ryan McIntosh, Sean Keene, Ryan Prentice, David Hymovitz, Mark Langdon, and Quenneville.

· Season seats are on sale now for $545 in the Center section ($470 for minors and seniors), and $400 ($320 for minors and seniors) in End sections. To purchase your season seats please call 225-PUCK (7825).

· The ‘Dogs open their second season Friday, October 15 vs. Port Huron at 7:35 in the Richmond Coliseum.

· The ‘Dogs face the Missouri River Otters in a UHL preseason game Saturday, October 9 at 7:35 PM at the Roanoke Civic Center. For ticket information for that game please call the Roanoke Civic Center at (540) 853-5483.
