Winston-Salem, NC – The Winston-Salem Warthogs, in conjunction with the Forsyth Humane Society, have announced they will host a Bark at the Park Night at Ernie Shore Field on July 24th. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the ballgame against Myrtle Beach, which begins at 7pm. Gates for the game open at 6pm.Tickets for the game will be regular price ($7 for box, $6 for reserved, $5 for bleacher seats), and dogs get into the park with a $1 donation to the Forsyth Humane Society. Guests and their dogs will sit in a designated section of the stadium.
Warthogs' ball dog Sly's Shea will be performing some of his tricks throughout the night. The Humane Society will be on hand with dogs up for adoption. Nancy Prosser, the wife of Wake Forest men's basketball coach Skip Prosser, will be in attendance with their dog, Abbey, to support the Humane Society's "Furr" Ball Event in October.
Pet Supplies Plus will be on hand on July 24th, giving out doggie treats and donating poop bags and water for each dog. There will also be a vet and grooming service present to answer any questions fans may have about pet care. Advance K-9 Training/The Red Woof Inn will be demonstrating dog tricks and discussing boarding, day care, grooming, and training services.
