Bombers sign Thaddeus Lewis

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today added import defensive back Thaddeus Lewis to its roster.
Lewis (5-10, 185, Cincinnati Â’03, DOB: Apr. 6, 1982 in St. Croix, Virgin Islands) joins the Big Blue after most recently playing for the Cincinnati Bearcats, the alma mater of head coach Dave Ritchie.
“I saw him at a workout at the University of Cincinnati,” said Ritchie. “He reminds me a lot of a player named Blue Odoms in that he has the same skills. He looks good.”
THE COLLEGE YEARS – CINCINNATI BEARCATS
Lewis did a little bit of everything for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, playing defensive back and wide receiver. He also returned punts and kickoffs on special teams.
As a senior, he totaled 25 receptions for 261 yards and a touchdown, 23 punt returns for 179 yards, 14 defensive tackles, 12 kickoff returns for 265 yards, one interception return for zero yards, one forced fumble and pass knockdown.
Before joining Cincinnati, Lewis played junior college football for the Fullerton Junior College Hornets.
