WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau today announced that the Blues have reassigned left wing Igor Valeev to the organization’s ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen.

Valeev has appeared in just 31 games for the ‘Cats this season, recording one goal, three assists and 68 penalty minutes in that span: 31(1/3/4)68. This will be his second stint with the Rivermen, with his first tour commencing on December 9th, 2003. He had one goal, one assist and 24 penalty minutes in six games: 6(1/1/2)24.

Last year, the 22-year old winger played in 72 games the IceCats, registering pro-career highs with six goals, 12 assists, 18 points and 153 penalty minutes: 72(6/12/18)153. In three seasons with Worcester, the Blues 2001 draft selection has skated in 132 games, notching 10 goals, 21 assists and 293 penalty minutes: 132(10/21/31)293.

The IceCats are home at WorcesterÂ’s Centrum Centre for 7:05 face-offs against the Hartford Wolf Pack and Portland Pirates on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Worcester wraps up their three-game weekend home slate with a 4:05 tilt against the Providence Bruins on Sunday.
