Montreal Alouettes News Release

Montreal, March 12, 2004 - The Montreal Alouettes are proud to announce that they will be participating in the Annual St-Patrick's Parade taking place on Sunday March 14, 2004 from 12:00 p.m. on Sainte Catherine Street starting at du Fort Street and ending on St-Urbain Street.

The Alouettes convoy will feature 7 players (Bruno Heppell, Luke Fritz, Kevin Johnson, Bryan Chiu, Brad Collinson, Uzooma Okeke and Philippe Girard) joined by five cheerleaders riding on three convertible cars preceding the Telus float. The St-Patrick's Parade is one of hundreds of community events in which the Alouettes participate in every year. The Parade is a Montreal tradition and one that the Alouettes have made customary to attend annually.

This year, the St-Patrick's Parade will mark the 180th consecutive year that Montreal has celebrated it's Irish roots and the coming of spring. The event has become a "must see" event for over 600,000 spectators and the many people watching at home. Colourful floats, mascots, bands, and much more span the entire length of the Parade.
