'84 Tiger Dave Bergman to Visit Fifth Third Ballpark

COMSTOCK PARK -Former Tigers first baseman Dave Bergman will be on hand at Fifth Third Ballpark during West Michigan's 7:00 p.m. game against Great Lakes on Friday, June 26 as the Whitecaps continue their Wendy's Tiger Fridays series.
The first 1,000 fans will receive a Dave Bergman bobblehead. He will be available to sign autographs and meet with fans during the game. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
Bergman played 17 big league seasons from 1975 to 1992. Nine of those seasons were spent with Detroit from 1984 to 1992. He also spent time with the Yankees, Astros, and Giants.
Bergman appeared in all five games of the Tigers' last World Series championship in 1984.
Other Wendy's Tiger Fridays dates include July 17 with John Wockenfuss, July 31 with Matt Nokes and August 28 with Willie Hernandez, Dan Petry and Milt Wilcox.
The Whitecaps return home Thursday, June 25 to kick off the first half against the Great Lakes Loons at 7:00 p.m. Individual and group tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the West Michigan Glass Block Ticket Office at Fifth Third Ballpark, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131 or by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com.
