67's Score Decisive Road Win in London

February 23, 2018 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA, ON - Tye Felhaber had the winner and Olivier Tremblay stood on his head in goal as the 67's got back into the win column with a 4-2 victory over the London Knights on Friday night.

Felhaber's 26 of the year late in the second period stood as the winner, while Tremblay made 31 saves to secure the W. The two points allows Ottawa to leapfrog the Oshawa Generals into sixth spot in the OHL's Eastern Conference.

The game didn't start exactly as Ottawa had drawn it up, as Alex Formenton gave the Knights the early lead when he scored his 20th of the year before the game was two minutes old. But Merrick Rippon would respond for Ottawa before the first was over, chipping in his third of the season to send the game into the intermission tied at a goal apiece.

The 67's took the lead 12 minutes into the second period when Mitchell Hoelscher notched his eighth of the year. Sasha Chmelevski added his 31st of the campaign into an empty net to seal the win. Joseph Raaymakers made 20 stops in a losing cause for the Knights.

The 67's close out the weekend on Sunday afternoon when they visit the Kitchener Rangers at 2 p.m.
