66ers Fight Past Skyforce, 88-83

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Tulsa 66ers (17-15) started the second half of the season with an 88-83 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce (20-13) on Friday night at the Sioux Falls Arena in South Dakota.

Six Tulsa players scored in double digits behind Rasual Butler's 18 points, eight boards and three blocked shots.

Chris Quinn scored 13 points adding six assists and five rebounds while Rodney Bartholomew and Tony Taylor scored 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Dominique Sutton (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Ron Anderson (10 points, 12 rebounds) collected double-doubles to help Tulsa outrebound the Skyforce, 50-39.

The 66ers trailed Sioux Falls 31-20 with 11 minutes remaining in the first half before forcing their way back into the game with a 16-3 run to take a 36-34 lead with just under five minutes left in the half.

Tulsa eventually built up an 80-72 lead off a 6-0 run with four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The 66ers held off the Skyforce by shooting 6-for-6 from the free throw stripe in the final 32 seconds.

The two teams square off again on Saturday night at 7:00 at Sioux Falls Arena. The game will be aired live on YouTube and Tulsa66ers.com.
