Mississauga Steelheads News Release

The Ontario Hockey League Under-18 Priority Selection took place on April 11, 2018. The Mississauga Steelheads held the eighth and 28th overall picks. In just it's second year, the draft gives Midget AAA hockey players in Ontario the opportunity to be considered for their talent and potential contributions in the OHL. Each team will go through two rounds, with a third pick granted to those who select a goaltender with either of their first or second selections.

Last year's draft spanned 5 rounds and over 90 players were selected including left-winger Cameron Gaylor, who was selected 13th overall by the Steelheads. The Don Mills Flyers Midget AAA alum went on to record three goals and an assist in 42 regular season games this year for the Steelheads.
