SPOKANE, WA - The start of the 2017 season is just around the corner and the Spokane Indians are planning to celebrate with a FREE Community FanFest presented by Avista, 93.7 The Mountain, 1510 KGA NW Sports Talk, KEY 101, and 94.1 The Bear on Saturday, June 10th, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Avista Stadium.

Fans can watch the next group of Spokane Indians players for the first time with batting practice open to the public and a home run derby later in the afternoon. Plus, you can meet your new favorite players with an autograph session in between batting practice and the home run derby.

It's not all about the players though. Fans will have the opportunity to step up to the plate at Avista Stadium to take their own batting practice. There will be even more activities going on throughout the ballpark, as fans can enjoy inflatables, wiffle ball, and yard games, making this the perfect event for the entire family. There will also be a hot dog eating contest and free samples of new menu items. Regular concessions will be open for purchase as well. Plus, at the end of the event all kids are welcome onto the field to Circle the Bases courtesy of Dairy Queen.

FanFest Schedule - Saturday, June 10th

1:00 PM - Indians Batting Practice

2:00 PM - General Public Batting Practice and LEO's Autograph Session

3:00 PM - Player Introductions and Home Run Derby

Post-Event - Dairy Queen Circle the Bases

The Spokane Indians open the season against the Boise Hawks on Thursday, June 15th, at Avista Stadium for Opening Night Fireworks & AAA Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by ABC Office Equipment, KREM 2-TV, 93.7 The Mountain, 1510 KGA NW Sports Talk, and The Journal of Business.
