2006 All-Star Rosters Completed

The completed rosters for the 2006 Central Hockey League All-Star Game, presented by Obra Homes and slated for Wednesday, January 18th at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, have been announced, as selected by the All-Star Coaches in conjunction with the CHL's Hockey Operations department. Each team is represented by a minimum of one player, and limited to a maximum of three players on the All-Star roster.
Laredo's Terry Ruskowski has added six forwards, four defensemen and two goaltenders to the Southern Conference All-Star squad. Evan Lindsey of the host Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Corpus Christi's Scott Reid join starter Mike Gorman from Odessa as Southern Conference goaltenders, while Amarillo's Mark DeSantis, Austin's Aaron Schneekloth, Lubbock's Stacey Bauman and Rio Grande Valley's Jeff Mushaluk team with starters Serge Dube (Laredo) and Bernie John (Corpus Christi) as Southern Conference All-Star defensemen. The starting forward trio of Derek Hahn (Amarillo), Jeff Bes (Laredo) and Daymen Bencharski (Rio Grande Valley) are bolstered with the additions of Amarillo's Scott Wray, Austin's John McNabb, Laredo's James Hiebert, Lubbock's Nolan Graham and the Odessa tandem of Sebastien Thinel and Dominic Leveille.
In the Northern Conference, Colorado's Chris Stewart has added seven forwards, three defenseman and two goaltenders to the All-Star team. Wichita forwards Jason Duda and Travis Clayton, along with Bossier-Shreveport's Scott Sheppard, Fort Worth's Bret Dececco, Memphis' Don Parsons, Oklahoma City's Garrett Prosofsky and Tulsa's Jim Dahl have been added as Northern Conference forwards, joining starters Joe Blaznek (Wichita) Greg Pankewicz (Colorado) Jeff Christian (Youngstown). Named as Northern Conference defensemen additions were Bossier-Shreveport's Dale Lupul, Tulsa's Mario Joly and Oklahoma City's Gio Flamminio, combining with starters Derek Landmesser (Memphis) and Brad Williamson (Colorado). In the Northern Conference goal, Colorado starter Paulo Colaiacovo will split time with Bossier-Shreveport's Ken Carroll and Oklahoma City's Sean Connors.
Selected by the CHL front office to participate in the 2006 CHL All-Star Game as on officials are 5th year referee Paul DePuydt, 8th year linesman Kevin Mighton and 3rd year linesman Scott Ferguson. Joining Rio Grande Valley's Rich Bocchini on the All-Star Broadcast Team are Laredo's Joe Dominey and Bossier-Shreveport's Steve Mears. All-Star festivities begin with the CHL All-Star Media Luncheon at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, January 17th at the Tower Club, followed by the CHL All-Star Banquet at 4:30 PM, taking place at the Dodge Arena.
