Fans Can Place Their Loved One's Name on the Team's Annual Pink Jerseys
(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - On Saturday, May 12th at BB&T Ballpark, the Charlotte Knights will host their 13th Annual Pink Knights game presented by Charlotte Radiology. In 12 seasons hosting this annual event, the Knights have raised over $125,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness. Last year's game raised a total of $26,890 for Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund.
Once again this season, the Knights will be giving fans the opportunity to champion the fight or memory of a loved one by placing their name on the team's on-field pink jersey. With a donation of $20, a loved one's first and last name can appear on the jersey the Knights will wear for their game against the Durham Bulls on May 12th. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and fans will also have a chance to bid on these game-worn, autographed jerseys that night at BB&T Ballpark or from the comforts of their own home via www.charlotteknights.com. The first 2,000 ladies through the gates that night will also receive a Pink Baseball, courtesy of Charlotte Radiology.
"We are excited for our ongoing partnership with the Charlotte Knights," stated Danielle Kutz, Marketing and Practice Relations, Charlotte Radiology. "Every year, they continue to show their commitment to women and our community through the Pink Knights game."
Submissions for donations and names are due to the Charlotte Knights Community Relations department by Friday, March 16th. Entries for names and donations can be submitted online at www.charlotteknights.com/pinkknights or by phone at 704-274-8196. Checks should be made out to Charlotte Knights Charities.
Season memberships for the 2018 season at BB&T Ballpark are on sale now. Single-game tickets for the White Sox exhibition game, as well as all 2018 Charlotte Knights home games, will go on sale at a later date.
