| Poku Named to NASL Team of the Week

MIAMI - Miami FC standout, Poku, has been named to the first NASL Team of the Week of 2017, announced the league office this morning.

The Orange and Blue opened its season last week on the road against North Carolina FC. The club left Cary, N.C. with a point after fighting hard for a 1-1 draw.

After giving up an early goal, Poku played the hero and equalized in the 14th minute.

After his shot was initially saved, Poku would end up accidentally block ing his teammates follow up attempt. Unfazed, Poku quickly recovered to finally put the ball in the back of the net.

In 71 minutes of blistering action, Poku completed 20 of 26 passes, created a scoring chance and put both his shots on target.

T he Miami FC ends a two-match road trip,  this  Saturday, April 1 when the club travels to the Empire State to take on the New York Cosmos.

The Orange and Blue finally return to Miami for the Home Opener, presented by MetroPCS, April 8 as the Cosmos make the trip down South. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the football stadium at FIU! Get your ticket now at MiamiFC.com/Tickets !
