July 8, 2016 - WILMINGTON, N.C.--Nick Yobbi sileneced a red-hot offense for seven and two thirds innings while Michael Austin slammed the door shut as the Fayetteville SwampDogs beat the Wilmington Sharks 2-1 Friday night. July 7, 2016 - FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.-The SwampDogs had the tying runner on base with no outs in the ninth, but he was left on third base as Fayetteville fell to the Morehead City Marlins 8-7 late Thursday at The Swamp. The Marlins jumped out to an early four run lead in the top of the first before the SwampDogs answered with two runs in the bottom half of an inning that took three hours to play due to lightning delays. July 6, 2016 - MOREHEAD CITY, N.C.-Like the slippery fish they are named after, the Morehead City Marlins slipped past the Fayetteville SwampDogs en route to a 16-4 victory Wednesday at Big Rock Stadium. The SwampDogs held a 4-0 lead after their first two at-bats before the Marlins roared back. With the win the Marlins are now 15-14. The SwampDogs fall to 10-20 on the year.
