June 23, 2016 - Lakeland, FL - The Daytona Tortugas took the second half opener, defeating the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 10-5, at Henley Field Thursday night. All nine Tortugas recorded a hit, while Blake Trahan and Brian O'Grady each homered in the win. Daytona is now 13-3 in their last 16 games. June 22, 2016 - Daytona Beach, FL - The Florida State League named Tyler Mahle the Pitcher of the Week for June 13-19 on Tuesday afternoon. Mahle no-hit the Jupiter Hammerheads on Monday, June 13th, for the first nine-inning no-hitter in the FSL since July, 2013. Mahle becomes the first Tortuga to win the Pitcher of the Week award this season, after Aristides Aquino won Player of the Week in April (April 25-May 1) and Taylor Sparks did so last month (May 23-29).
