Schwechheimer Introduced as Zephyrs Owner

November 30, 2015 - Metairie, LA - At an afternoon press conference on Monday, November 30, 2015, Donald C. Beaver, Owner and CEO of the New Orleans Zephyrs, announced that a company located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island has purchased a 50% interest in the New Orleans Zephyrs franchise. The company, Yes2No, LLC is managed and controlled by General Partner Lou Schwechheimer, a longtime Triple-A baseball owner and executive. Home Run King Mike Hessman Announces Retirement

November 30, 2015 - Mike Hessman, a fixture of Toledo sports for most of the last decade, announced over the weekend that he has hung up his batting gloves for the final time in order to pursue a career in coaching. The 37 year-old slugger sits at the top of the minor league home run list, with 433 career MiLB homers. The record-breaking hit, which was fittingly his final career home run, came as a grand slam against Lehigh Valley back on August 3. Twins Sign Benson, Centeno and Thompson to Minor League Deals

November 30, 2015 - ROCHESTER, NY - The Minnesota Twins announced the signings of three minor leaguers; OF Joe Benson, C Juan Centeno and LHP Aaron Thompson. Benson, 27, appeared in 21 games with Minnesota in 2011 and 70 with the Red Wings from 2012-13. He was selected off waivers by Texas on May 25, 2013 and spent the remainder of the season in the Rangers organization. November 30, 2015 - WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed outfielder Josh Romanski on Tuesday morning. Romanski returns to North America after playing last season for Mitsubishi of the Japan Industrial League. In 2014, Romanski was one of the best players in the American Association, hitting .311 with seven home runs and 60 RBI for the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
