Aces Announce 2016-17 ECHL Schedule

April 28, 2016 - ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - The Alaska Aces drop the puck on the 2016-17 season on the road in Colorado before the home opener October 28 against Rapid City, highlighting the team's 72 game ECHL schedule released today. In addition to Rapid City, the Aces will host division rivals Utah, Colorado and Idaho. Wrenn Third in ECHL Defenseman of Year Voting

April 13, 2016 - ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The ECHL has announced that Alaska Aces defenseman William Wrenn finished third in the 2015-16 CCM Hockey Defenseman of the Year voting. Wheeling's Mark Maione was the top vote-getter, followed by Colorado's Adrian Veideman. Wrenn scored 4 goals with 37 assists for 41 points and 28 penalty minutes in 57 games for Alaska. Barney Makes Debut But Aces Fall to Eagles 5-3

April 10, 2016 - ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - 45 year old Aces rookie goaltender Jeff Barney made 21 saves, but Colorado scored 4 second period goals on their way to a 5-3 win over Alaska Saturday in front of a sell-out crowd at the Sullivan Arena. Barney, a 25 year emergency backup goaltender, got his first career start and did well over his 58 minute 26 second stint between the pipes. Hafner, Sivak Lead Aces to 2-0 Win over Eagles

April 9, 2016 - ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Goaltender Lukas Hafner made 34 saves for his first professional shutout, and winger Peter Sivak scored his 100th career ECHL goal as the Alaska Aces knocked off the Colorado Eagles 2-0 Friday night at the Sullivan Arena. No scoring in the first period as each team enjoyed limited offensive opportunities. Alaska outshot Colorado 10-6 in the first 20 minutes, with the Aces getting the only power play of the period.
