Egan to Depart Curve

September 15, 2016 - CURVE, Pa. - Altoona Curve General Manager Rob Egan will be leaving the Double-A Eastern League club at the end of the month to start a new professional opportunity, the team announced today. Egan, 47, has served for eight seasons as the Curve's general manager (2009-2016) and has been with the Altoona franchise for 14 of its 18 seasons overall. Game Four of the Division Series Postponed for Rain on Saturday

September 10, 2016 - AKRON, Ohio - Saturday's scheduled Game Four of the Eastern League Western Division Series has been postponed due to rain. The game will now be played on Sunday night at Akron's Canal Park, with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Left-hander Brandon Waddell is now scheduled to start on the mound for the Curve on Sunday night. Barnes Named Eastern League Player of the Month

September 7, 2016 - CURVE, Pa. - Altoona Curve outfielder Barrett Barnes has been named the Eastern League Player of the Month for August, the league announced on Wednesday morning. Barnes hit .360 (31-for-86) in 26 August games with eight homers, six doubles and 22 RBIs. He also scored 16 runs and compiled a .709 slugging percentage with a .434 on-base percentage. September 5, 2016 - RICHMOND, Va. - Stetson Allie knocked an RBI double in the tenth inning to score the go-ahead run for the Altoona Curve, who clinched a playoff spot with an extra-inning, 2-0 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Monday at The Diamond in Richmond, Virginia.
