Asheville Tourists Job Fair Set for February 24

February 6, 2018 - ASHEVILLE-- If you or someone you know is looking to become an integral part of the Asheville Tourists organization, seasonal employment is available at the ballpark for the upcoming baseball season. Interviews for part-time jobs during the 2018 season will take place at the annual McCormick Field job fairs; the first of two to be held Saturday, February 24 from 9am-noon. Robinson Cancel to Manage the Tourists in 2018

November 30, 2017 - ASHEVILLE, NC - The Colorado Rockies have named Robinson Cancel, 41, as Asheville's manager for the 2018 season. Cancel spent 2017, his lone year in the Rockies organization, as a coach for the Rockies' Short-Season Class-A affiliate, the Boise Hawks. Prior to 2017, Cancel managed the GCL Braves in 2015 and the Danville Braves in 2016. November 29, 2017 - TOURISTS MANAGER SPENT THREE SEASONS IN ASHEVILLE ASHEVILLE - Earlier today the Hartford Yard Goats, the double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, introduced Warren Schaeffer as their manager for the 2018 baseball season. Schaeffer, who turns 33 in January, spent the last three years managing the Asheville Tourists. September 6, 2017 - ASHEVILLE-- The Asheville Tourists wrapped up the 2017 season on a high note. Asheville won 11 of their last 13 games and clinched a second place finish in the South Atlantic League's southern division. The Tourists went 29-39 in the first half before turning it around after the All-Star Break. Asheville's second half record was 39-31 resulting in an overall record of 68-70.
