D'Andre Smith: Breakout Bound with Rehab in Rearview
March 25, 2024 - At the start of his first full professional season in 2023, D'Andre Smith's plans went awry. After helping Single-A St. Lucie win a Florida State League championship after being drafted, the 2022 fifth-round selection missed the first two months of the season with a nagging back injury. However, Smith feels much different physically with the 2024 season on the horizon. "Body is in a great spot, I feel pretty much at 100% every day," said Smith about how he feels during Spring Training. "I'... Full StoryMore from the South Atlantic League

Big Stu: Stuart Set to Shine Once More in 2024
March 22, 2024 - It's difficult to imagine a better debut season in professional baseball than the one Tyler Stuart had in 2023. The Mets' sixth-round pick in 2022 turned out to be a great asset, producing impressive results right from the start of the year in Coney Island. Stuart performed exceptionally well, with a record of 4-0 and an impressive ERA of 1.55 (13 ER in 75.2 IP) in 14 starts, striking out 84 batters and only walking 23. In mid-July, Stuart was transferred to Double-A Binghamton where he co... Full StoryMore from the South Atlantic League
Ace Gervase: Paul Gervase Takes Big Strides Towards Queens
March 15, 2024 - It is hard to miss Paul Gervase's presence at the ballpark. The 6-foot-10 right-handed pitcher generally towers over his competition with his stature. However, in 2023, Gervase was also imposing in his performance. Starting his first full professional season on Coney Island, Gervase was the Cyclones' lone honoree on the South Atlantic League Post-Season All-Star team as a relief pitcher. Among SAL relievers with at least 45.0 innings pitched, the 23-year-old posted the league's lowest ERA (1.... Full StoryMore from the South Atlantic League
'Reim' Time: Jacob Reimer Ready Keep Climbing in 2024
March 14, 2024 - Jacob Reimer's inaugural full season in professional baseball was a fruitful one. The 20-year-old finished among the leaders in the New York Mets' organization in on-base percentage (6th, .399), walks (T-6th, 62), runs scored (T-7th; 63), and batting average (9th, .265). However, Reimer has refused to rest on his laurels going into his second off-season. The Yucaipa, Calif. native's winter was marked by significant growth, largely attributed to his time at Driveline Baseball in Arizona, a fac... Full StoryMore from the South Atlantic League
