June 28, 2016 - (Windsor, ON) - With the #39 pick in the 2016 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft (originally #41), General Manager Warren Rychel has selected Urho Vaakanainen. Vaakanainen is a 6'1, 187-pound left-shooting defenceman from Joensuu, Finland. June 24, 2016 - (Buffalo, NY) - Three members of the Windsor Spitfires were taken in the Top-20 picks of the 2016 NHL Draft on Friday night at the First Niagara Center.
