Ex-MLB Player McRae New Head Coach of HarbourCats

August 19, 2016 - VICTORIA -- The Victoria HarbourCats are pleased to announce that former Major League Baseball star outfielder Brian McRae, now a college coach with summer baseball managerial experience, will take over as the team's head coach. McRae has agreed to a two-year contract to lead the on-field product at Royal Athletic Park. August 7, 2016 - Victoria, BC- The Victoria HarbourCats have set a new West Coast League (WCL) record for wins in a season after they drubbed the Yakima Valley Pippins 11-4 Sundayafternoon in the season finale for both teams in front of 2,506 fans at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria. The win moves the HarbourCats 2016 record to 40-14 and surpasses the previous win total of 39 set by the 2011 Wenatchee AppleSox.
