Zayandehroudi comes to Saint John after more than a year with the Canadian Football League's BC Lions, where he was the first-ever Director of Ticket Sales and Fan Services. Sea Dogs Select Russian F Alexander Vdovenko in CHL Import Draft

June 28, 2016 - SAINT JOHN - General Manager Darrell Young announced today the Saint John Sea Dogs have selected Russian forward Alexander Vdovenko 42nd overall in the 2016 CHL Import Draft. The 17-year-old from Moscow is 6'4" and 200 lbs. and plays centre and left wing. Vdovenko (pronounced "doh-VEHN-koh") posted nine goals and 24 points in 34 games last season with the Vityaz Podolsk Under-17 team in Russia. Green, Noel Selected in NHL Draft

June 25, 2016 - BUFFALO, NY - Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Luke Green and centre Nathan Noel have been selected by the Winnipeg Jets and Chicago Blackhawks, respectively, in the 2016 National Hockey League Draft. Green, 18, was taken by Winnipeg in the third round, 79th overall. The Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, native had ten goals and 35 points in 61 games in his second season with Saint John. Povorozniouk Signs with AHL Chicago

June 22, 2016 - SAINT JOHN - Forward Sam Povorozniouk has signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. The Wolves made the announcement in a news release on their website. Povorozniouk, 21, played the 2015-16 season with Saint John. The native of Northbrook, Illinois, led the Sea Dogs with 39 goals and added 23 assists for 62 points in 68 games.
