September 19, 2016 - RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the acquisition of 18-year old forward Jordan Roy from the Tri-City Americans in exchange for a conditional 5th round selection in the 2019 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. Roy is entering his second season in the WHL. Last year with the Americans, Roy played in 34 games, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points. Rebels Trade Toth to Seattle

September 16, 2016 - RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the trade of 20-year old goaltender Rylan Toth to the Seattle Thunderbirds for their 3rd round selection in the 2017 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. Toth is entering his third season in the WHL. He was added to the Rebels protected list in December of 2012. July 27, 2016 - RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the hiring of Josh Guenther as Athletic Therapist. Guenther comes to the Rebels after working the last three seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings. Prior to his time with the Wheat Kings, Guenther graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Kinesiology-Athletic Therapy in 2013.
