October 12, 2015 - Portland, ME - The Florida Panthers, NHL affiliate of the Portland Pirates, today announced the assignment of forward Rocco Grimaldi to the Pirates. Grimaldi, a 5-foot-6, 160 pound center from Rossmoor, California, began the season on Injured Reserve with the Panthers after sustaining an injury during Florida's Training Camp. In addition, the Pirates announced the signings of forwards Wayne Simpson and Vinny Saponari to Professional Tryout Agreements.
