Zephyrs Season Finale Rained Out

September 5, 2016 - Metairie, LA - Monday's season finale between the New Orleans Zephyrs and Nashville Sounds was cancelled due to rain. New Orleans finishes the season with a 69-70 record, and will open the 2017 campaign at home on April 6 with a new nickname for the first time since the team arrived from Denver in 1993. Zephyrs Overcome Chapman's Three Homers to Edge Sounds, 6-5

September 3, 2016 - The New Orleans Zephyrs overcame three home runs by Nashville slugger Matt Chapman as the Z's edged the Sounds, 6-5 on Saturday night. Rated as the fourth-best prospect in the Oakland A's system by MLB.com, Chapman launched a two-run homer over the center field fence in the first inning. He followed with a towering drive deep over the left field wall in the third, then led off the fifth with a home run to right-center. Sox Beat up Zephyrs 11-3

September 1, 2016 - COLORADO SPRINGS - Garin Cecchini picked up three hits and drove home four runs as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox pounded the Zephyrs 11-3. The Sox have won the first two games of the series by a combined score of 24-8. The Z's got a first inning run with an RBI base hit from David Lough. The lead did not last as the Sox got a two run home run in the second inning from Garrett Cooper to take a 2-1 lead.
