Rockets Training Camp Continues this Week

August 28, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets training camp is continuing this week at Prospera Place as the team prepares to open the WHL exhibition season this coming Saturday night. The Rockets are down to close to 40 players after two days of main training camp this weekend, releasing several of its 2016 bantam draft players back to their home towns on the weekend. Rockets Rookie Camp Underway At Prospera Place

August 23, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets opened its 2016 rookie training camp on Monday in Kelowna, welcoming close to 80 young hockey prospects and their families to Prospera Place. Players registered and were introduced to the Rockets full scouting and hockey staff by GM Bruce Hamilton, who also introduced head coach Jason Smith. Smith told the players to seize the opportunity. August 22, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets today announced a collaboration with Okanagan Clinical Trials, a clinical research group based in Kelowna, for Lace Up for New Alzheimer's Treatments, an informational session on Alzheimer's disease at the Coast Capri Hotel at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2016. Lace Up for New Alzheimer's Treatments is part of an international campaign involving retired professional athletes that was kicked off in the U.S. at the time of Super Bowl 50. Rockets Acquire Jake Kryski from Kamloops

August 18, 2016 - Kelowna Rockets President/GM Bruce Hamilton announced a trade on Thursday, acquiring a former 1st round WHL bantam pick from the Kamloops Blazers. The Rockets have traded defenceman Joe Gatenby, as well as prospect Danny Gatenby, to the Kamloops Blazers, in exchange for 18-year-old forward Jake Kryski. Kryski, a 5-foot-11, 175 pound left winger, is heading into his third season in the WHL. Last season he scored 12 goals and added 27 assists for 39 points in 67 games with Kamloops. As a roo...
