Four Rockets Drafted at NHL Draft in Buffalo

June 25, 2016 - Four members of the Kelowna Rockets were selected this weekend at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo. After defenceman Lucas Johansen was made a first-round selection by the Washington Capitals (28th overall), on Friday night, three more Rockets were chosen on Saturday in the closing rounds of the draft. Falcons win over BlackBears

June 24, 2016 - Two innings was all the Falcons' bats needed to put away the Cowlitz Black Bears on Friday night. The birds came out firing on all cylinders. A five-run first inning opened things up in a hurry, and the visitors couldn't seem to find an answer, paving the way to a 7-3 Falcons final. The victory pushed the Falcons' record back to even at 9-9. Rockets Johansen Selected by Washington in 1st Round of NHL Draft

June 24, 2016 - Kelowna Rockets defenceman Lucas Johansen has joined a long list of Rockets defenceman to hear their named called at the NHL Draft. Johansen was selected by the Washington Capitals with the 28th pick of the 1st round of the NHL Draft on Friday in Buffalo. Johansen played in 65 games for the Rockets in 2015-16, scoring 10 times and adding 39 assists, for a 49 point season, his second in the WHL. He was also plus 11 for Kelowna.
