December 3, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-1 on Saturday night at Prospera Place in the Rockets 4th Annual Teddy Bear Toss night in support of KGH. It took until the second period, but Nick Merkley scored a power play marker 6:54 into the middle frame and it rained bears from the stands. The bears will be donated to various wards at KGH. The Kelowna Rockets Fell in 2-1 OT

December 3, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets fell 2-1 in overtime to the Spokane Chiefs on Friday night. It was a low scoring defensive affair in Spokane. The Rockets outshot the Chiefs 37-21 but Hudson Elynuik ended the game scoring with 28 seconds remaining in the extra frame. The Rockets lone goal was scored by Kole Lind(15), who extends his goal streak to 6 games, which equaled the longest goal streak in the WHL this season. Kelowna 4 Tri-City 1 (WHL)

November 30, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Tri-City Americans 4-1 on Wednesday night south of the border in the Toyota Center. The Rockets were dominant throughout peppering Tri-City netminder Rylan Parenteau with 45 shots while only allowing 21 on Michael Herringer. Herringer improves to 12-8-0-0 on the season while the Rockets improve to 15-11-0-0. Kelowna had two first period goals and a second period goal to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the third period. Rockets Acquire Veteran D in Three-Player Trade

November 30, 2016 - The Kelowna Rockets have acquired a veteran defenceman and a prospect forward in a trade with the Regina Pats. The Rockets have acquired 19-year-old blueliner James Hilsendager along with forward Erik Gardiner, 17, in exchange for defenceman Jonathan Smart. Hilsendager is in his third full season with the Pats while Gardiner played two games this season with Regina before joining the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL where he has 10 goals in 14 games as a rookie.
