Pilon, Ingram Selected in the 3rd Round of 2016 NHL Draft

June 25, 2016 - Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers had two players selected in the 2016 NHL Draft. Forward Garrett Pilon was chosen by the Washington Capitals in the third round, 87th overall and goaltender Connor Ingram was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round, 88th overall. Pilon had an outstanding rookie season with the Blazers with 15 goals, 32 assists and 47 points in 71 games. He also added two goals and an assist in seven playoff games. June 23, 2016 - Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers are proud to announce that they have signed 2000-born forward Ryley Appelt to a standard WHL player agreement. Appelt was selected by the Blazers in the fourth round, 81st overall in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The Edmonton native, who stands at 6'2.5" and 180lbs, played the 2015-16 season with Edmonton CAC in the Alberta Midget Hockey League. He had seven goals and nine points in 17 games last season. June 22, 2016 - Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have announced that the hockey club has signed Connor Zary to a WHL standard player agreement. Zary was selected by the Blazers in the second round, 37th overall in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft. The 5'11" and 160lb center from Saskatoon put up 44 goals, 37 assists and 81 points in 30 games last season for the Bantam AA Saskatoon Outlaws. Blazers Ready for Prospects Camp this Weekend

June 1, 2016 - Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers 2016 Prospects Camp will be held this weekend at the Sandman Centre and Brock Arena in Kamloops. The hockey club will have all of their picks at the camp from the 2015 and 2016 WHL Bantam Drafts. In total, 23 prospects will attend the camp.
