Putintsev Claimed off Waivers

September 15, 2016 - Forward Ilya Putintsev has been claimed off waivers by the Moncton Wildcats. The 18-year-old native of Moscow, Russia scored 22 points in 68 career games with Halifax and added 42 penalty minutes. Putintsev was drafted in the second round (28th overall) of the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft. The Mooseheads roster now sits at 22 players including two goaltenders, seven defencemen and 13 forwards. Goaltender Gravel Commits to the Mooseheads

August 4, 2016 - Goaltender Alexis Gravel has committed to joining the Halifax Mooseheads. The highly touted prospect was selected in the second round (20th overall) by the Moose in June's QMJHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-2, 196 pound Gravel was the second ranked goalie available at the draft and Halifax traded up a spot in order to get him. Hischier Commits to the Mooseheads

July 19, 2016 - The Halifax Mooseheads will have another the talented young player on the roster for the 2016-17 QMJHL season after it was announced Tuesday that forward Nico Hischier has officially committed to the team. The 17-year-old was selected sixth overall by Halifax in last month's CHL Import Draft.
