July 25, 2016 - GUELPH, ON - With the 2016 NHL Entry Draft behind us and the 2016-17 season quickly approaching, NHL Central Scouting has compiled a list of players to keep an eye on for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft. City, Guelph Storm announce new 10-year agreement

July 22, 2016 - Guelph, Ont. - Today, Mayor Cam Guthrie and Guelph Storm Partner and Governor Rick Gaetz announced a new 10-year agreement that will keep the team in Guelph until 2026. "This is great news for Storm fans, and great news for our entire city," said Mayor Guthrie. Storm Select Albert Michnac with 62nd Overall Pick in CHL Import Draft

June 28, 2016 - The Storm have selected Czech forward Albert Michnac with their second pick in the Import Draft, 62nd overall. The 5'10, 163lb forward played for Sparta Praha in the Czech U-18 and U-20 leagues last year. He recorded eight points in five games with the U-18 and 18 points, eight goals and 10 assists, in 36 games with the U-20. Storm Select Dmitri Samorukov with the 2nd Overall Pick in the 2016 Import Draft

June 28, 2016 - The Guelph Storm selected 1998 born Russian defenceman Dmitri Samorukov with the 2nd overall pick in the 2016 CHL Import Draft. Last season, Samorukov had four goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 28 games with CSKA Moscow Red Army of the Russian U-17 league. The 6.3, 174 pound defenceman represented Team Russia at the 2016 U-18 World Junior Championships in Grand Forks, ND as a 16 year old.
