News Storm Sign Prospect Nolan Makkonen

January 10, 2017 - GUELPH, ON - The Guelph Storm Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of defenceman Nolan Makkonen, the team's ninth-round selection, 174th overall, in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The six-foot-one, 195-pound has spent last seasons splitting time with the Soo Thunderbirds Midget AAA team and the Soo Thunderbirds of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. January 6, 2017 - GUELPH, ON - Storm General Manager Mike Kelly has announced the acquisition of Liam Hawel from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in exchange for defenceman Noah Carroll and picks in upcoming OHL Priority Selections. The Storm will also receive Sault Ste. Marie's 3rd round pick in 2021. December 19, 2016 - GUELPH, ON - The Guelph Storm Hockey Club is pleased to announce the signing of goaltender Nico Daws, the team's seventh-round selection, 122nd overall, in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. The six-foot-five, 205-pound goaltender spent his minor midget season with the Burlington Eagles Minor Midget AAA team. News Storm to Honour Todd Bertuzzi November 26th

November 17, 2016 - GUELPH, ON - The Guelph Storm Hockey Club announced today that Todd Bertuzzi's #44 will be formally honoured in a tribute to the former Storm forward who wore the number during his four-year career with the Storm that spanned from 1991-95 before graduating to the NHL where he went on to play 1,159 games over 20 seasons with the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames, and the Detroit Red Wings.
