Legends Acquire Dejuan Blair

January 17, 2017 - FRISCO, TX--The Texas Legends announced today that they have acquired forward DeJuan Blair off the waiver wire. Blair (6-7, 270, Pittsburgh) has seven years of NBA experience, most recently with the Washington Wizards last season. In 424 career games, Blair has averaged 6.8 points, 5.1 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game. Blair was drafted in the 2nd round (37th overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. January 15, 2017 - FRISCO, TX- The Dallas Mavericks today signed Texas Legends guard Pierre Jackson for the 9th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2016-17 NBA Development League season. Jackson was signed by the Mavericks on Dec. 27th playing four games and averaging 3.0 points in 7.1 minutes before being waived on Jan. 6th. January 14, 2017 - FRISCO, TX- The NBA D-League's top scorers, Pierre Jackson and Manny Harris, combined for 56 points Friday night for the Texas Legends (11-10), but the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (16-9) outshot the home team for a 139-121 wire-to-wire victory in Frisco. The Vipers grabbed the first points of the contest and used a 12-point effort from Chris Johnson to get a six-point edge over the home team.
