Komets Add Four to Preseason Roster

July 25, 2016 - Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Monday that four players have been added to the preseason roster. Defenseman Curtis Leonard and forward Mason Baptista have agreed to terms and will be returning to the Fort Wayne fold for 2016-17. Also rookie forwards Daniel Erlich and Chase Nieuwendyk have inked agreements to make their pro debuts with the Komets. TinCaps Beat Beloit in Series Opener

July 24, 2016 - BELOIT, Wisc. -- The TinCaps beat the Beloit Snappers, 8-7, on a steamy Sunday afternoon at Pohlman Field. With the temperature boiling at 91 degrees and the heat index as high as 108, starting pitcher Jacob Nix (W, 2-4) went a career-long six innings. The 20-year-old allowed five runs as he battled through the conditions, but had help from both his offense and defense, which didn't commit any errors. July 22, 2016 - GRAND CHUTE, Wisc. -- The TinCaps lost to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Milwaukee Brewers) on Friday night, 8-7, at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Fort Wayne (9-19, 45-53) rallied in the late innings with a run in the eighth and three in the ninth, but a four-run hole proved to be too deep.
