Rampage Defeats Wild 1-0

December 9, 2016 - DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Wild (10-13-1-1, 22 points) were defeated by the San Antonio Rampage (11-11-1-0, 23 points) 1-0 in front of 5,777 fans on Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena. Rampage goalie Spencer Martin (11-6-0) stopped 27 shots for the shutout win. San Antonio center Rocco Grimaldi scored the only goal of the night. Iowa Wild Announces Team Captains for 2016-17

December 9, 2016 - DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Wild announced on Friday the team has selected its Captains for the 2016-17 season, starting with defenseman Mike Weber as the fourth Captain in team history. Weber dons the "C" on his jersey for the first time in his 10-year pro career. He previously wore an 'A" in the NHL with the Buffalo Sabres, as well as with the Rochester Americans and the Portland Pirates of the AHL. Iowa Signs Jeff Hoggan to An AHL SPC

December 9, 2016 - DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Jeff Hoggan to an AHL Standard Player Contract (SPC) for the 2016-17 AHL season. Hoggan, 38 (2/1/78), signed a professional tryout agreement with Iowa to start the season. Minnesota Wild Returns Teemu Pulkkinen to Iowa

December 8, 2016 - DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Thursday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Teemu Pulkkinen (pronounced TEE-moo PUHL-kih-nuhn) from the Iowa Wild, Minnesota's AHL affiliate. Pulkkinen, 24 (1/2/92), was recalled by Minnesota yesterday and did not appear in last night's 3-2 win at Toronto.
