Wink Ex Flyer Fan is right on!

I read all of your posts Ex and you seem to know more than the average person should know. It's almost like you are right inside the Flyer organization. I personally have had very close friends that have had real issues with Templeton, the stories are horrendous! They seem to keep some crazy things out of public knowledge. Hang in there Ex it seems there are quite a few here that don't want to believe what you're saying, but my sources say you are right on. I also have a gut feeling you haven't shown all your cards yet and that there just might be a bomb coming.

Default Thanks Baseball

I appreciate the post. Yea you're right, I either get a lot of viewers and no comments or people oh my gosh that just can't be true. I'm not going to comment on your assurtion that I'm "inside the Flyers organization" at this time but you never know. The information I have and write about on this blog is 100% true. And it does bother me a little when some people try to spin what I say with PR talk or simply say they don't believe. As far as dropping the big bomb goes, there are a few things coming up but I'm making sure they are 100% true before I inform.

Default Bomb Dropping

EX:

If you want to confirm anything, step up and call me (714-458-3064) and tell me who you are, and I will let you know if the "rumor" you have heard is true or not. Nothing makes me more frustrated than people who say they are "insiders", or "in the know", but who won't reveal their identity.

Everyone wants to be the one to "know" things...

If you are "inside the Flyers organization", then have the guts to come into my office, close the door, and let's talk. If you are not, then admit that you are not, and let's play ball! Life is too short and precious to waste everyone's time on "speculation." Just get it out in the open...

Ed

Default Hey Ex...

How do I put this that makes it fair to all....ED IS A GREAY GUY!
However, I am not sure you want to "out" yourself to him. In my dealings with him, if you confront him and he does not agree with you--you completely lose. You lose respect, and you lose his trust. I would also caution you on "letting BOMBS loose". We banter quite a bit, some fact, some truth, some speculation; but it is not done with "doom and gloom" reporting. Some of us, and you included, my be more privvy than most about "inside" stuff. In that vein, I dont think throwing the "Bomb is coming" out there serves any purpose. Either you have a fact, or you know a rumor. If you are an "insider" then you should know decorum and disipline and when to use them.
Telling me you have a cherry bomb in your back pocket, and waiting for it to explode before you tell me---just doesnt make sense. Coming to us in XYZ days telling us "I knew that then" does not make you credible. If OC implodes (unlikely) in the next week, does that make you "right"? Not to me, explain your position and let the people that can make changes try and answear your questions.
Do they always get it right, not at alll--but who does? There are problems in every league, especially in indy ball--but at least I know the GBL is trying!!!

***Personal note---- I find it very funny that Ed did call someone out for "hiding"---I submitted a post in the last week or two that had VERY specific questions for him....funny, I was applauded for "calling him out on his inconsistencies"; but never had question ONE answeared....oh well, as long as the thread is current he is here!

Default Here we go again

RW22 thanks for your input and you are right Ed is a good guy. He is especially a good guy when he agrees with you. But having said that, it does appear to me that he is not being very nice if he diagrees with someone. I didn't bring up "bomb dropping, someone named Baseball did, I was merely answering his questions. And Ed, even if I were an insider (and I'm not saying I am) how long do you think I would have a job after I left your office? So that's kind of a ridicules sentence don't you think? I've told you many times in these posts that I do like you and you're way too good of a guy to be with the Flyers being a Garry Templeton front man. The only problem I have with you is when someone tells you something factual you try to make them out as a liar. Like I said before, I make sure things are 100% correct or I don't mention them. Then you come to this board and tell everyone I'm wrong when you and I both know I'm right. As you've seen with a lot of my posts I am no longer a Garry Templeton fan as I have been in the past because I've learned what he has done to people. And when I go after someone I go after the person with the power and again that's Templeton. No matter what you try to tell someone here Garry's crew runs the show. There are some very bright people on this board and sometimes the truth is interesting to them. You know, like the night Hector Zamora got thrown out of the game and the league for threatening to kill the umpire over balls and strike calls. I was sitting right behind Alan Mintz, the president and owner, when he and his entire entourage gave Zamora a standing ovation. I was more horrified by that than Zamora's actions. I know, you're going to tell everybody here it didn't happen, but it did. If I want to see a circus, Barnam & Bailey's is here every July at the Staples Center. Just another reason I'm an Ex

Default Zamora Ovation Was For Pohle...

You are right - I AM going to comment on the night that Zamora was kicked out.

The ovation was when Pohle was announced as the pinch hitter for Zamora, not for Zamora's actions...if you are going to comment on something, get it right. I am 100% positive that I am right on this one, because I have spoken to many people in that "entourage" since that night, and to Rich, as well, and they all say it was applause for Rich coming into the game.

There is a story behind that night, and I won't get into it here, but it is how I am 100% sure that it was for Rich, and not for Hector.

I am not Garry's front man...

I don't support him in everything he does as a manager, but I do still think G2 is one of the best CF's in the league, and he hits a lot better in the 8th or 9th hole, where there is less pressure (hit a grand slam in Chico tonight).

Anyway, I have never fired anyone in my entire career for having a different opinion that I do...I encourage different opinions - I have fired people for various reasons, but NEVER for stating their opinion about someone or something.

If you work for me, and you come to me to talk about Garry, what is happening on the team, in the clubhouse, etc, it will be a good chat. It has happened in the last few days with other members of our front offce. If you are a fan (or ex-fan), I will gladly talk with you. I am not hiding anything.

Thanks

Ed

RW - send me your questions again, and I will answer every one of them...

lets hope that some of that rubs off on Bash. I think that is the only reason he has ever fired anyone.

Smile Ed...

If i have intimated in one way or another that you have based employment decisions based on factual one on one discussions; I do apologize immediately and would forthright acknowledge that. I have just asked questions that have not been answeared in any form...To say that I do not appreciate you being here would be incredibly wrong. I wish every GM, along with the Commish, would visit--chat and get a feel for what the common folk feel.
I called you out earlier for not specifically answearing questions. This does not need to be a public forum, you did not answear any question I had--which is my beef---I will send you a PM of the questions I had from that thread----and, i really think you were in the middle of a homestand, so ya just might have missed it!! Answear away to my PM and we'll see where it lands....we are really here for the GBL....just when the ones that care get no shunned--its tough!

Hopefully, RW, you'll learn, like Yvonne and I did, that sometimes the answer to a question is "I can't (or won't) disclose that." It's nice that Ed and the Commish are as open as they are, but as someone who has ran and helps run companies I can tell you, not everything is for public consumption, as much as we might want it to be.

I've never experienced that in my 12 years in the U.S. Army. Is that really true?
