Default Elkhart Express Champions

Congratulations to the Elkhart Express for winning their second IBL championship. Kudos also to the Portland Chinooks for a well-fought game. I've seen some discussion on what teams will be around next year and who has the toughest teams. Don't count the East division out - Elkhart isn't the only great team out here and won't be the only great one next year either.

Default Elkhart shows it deserves respect

Well, Saturday night the Express showed the world that it deserved be be the IBL champions for the second consecutive year. Now, I'd like to hear from all of those that disrespected this organization going into the championsip game. I hear all about Portland, and how tough the Western Confernce was...and all about David Lucas and Shammgod Wells. Well, at the end of the day it was the Express showing that team work will beat any group of talented individuals anyday. I'm proud of the Express, and the 3,422 fans that came out to support them in such a strong, and loud way. So to those that disrespected the Express, do you like your crow roasted or fried?

Congrats! Another pretty good year for the IBL. Now update your site and expand southeasterly. (Is that a word?)

I attended the Elkhart-Portland game. To Cedric Moodie, Coleco Buie, Harold Swanagan, Tim Pledger, Corey Childs and Jarod Lovette a big Thank you! To Rashi Johnson and Darmetrius Kilgore, you guys were great and you came through for the team and the fans, we love all of you. To Glenn Worley, Glenn we missed you during the big game, but your contribution during the season is beyond words. Thanks Glenn! You guys gave us a great season and you worked hard for your fans. To Coach Beathea, thanks for bringing such a great team to Elkhart and for all you do for the community. To Rico Swanson, Phil Calvert, Kyle Sears, Kyle Anderson, and Jeremy Herring you guys helped pull us out of many a close game. Thank you, and I hope you all come back.
To Shamgod Wells, when Portland was ahead in the game, you taunted the crowd, you held your hands by your ears like you were having trouble hearing the crowd of 3400 that showed up to cheer on the Express. The question of course is "Can you hear us now?" "Good".
We love you Express!! Can't wait until next season. You are the best team in the league on and off the court!

Default Next Year?

I see that the Express are going on a China trip. This is just awesome...and should really help bring attention to the Express and the IBL. It will be interesting to see how next years team will take shape...anyone thinking that the Express may have more of an international flair next year? Maybe one or two players from China? It's really exciting to see what Coach Beathea is doing -- and I know I can't wait till next year!
