My rants were basketball related !!!!!!!! thats the whole point things here should be basketball related.

And they are justiflyable .......

1.) the Pittsburgh explosion had one of the worst seasons in Minor League Sports History.

2.) They alley cats and Pittsburgh drew about 50 fans per game.

3.) the CBA started out with 10 teams then dropped to 8 teams before the season then finished with only 7 teams. At this rate the CBA will have no teams eventually........

I think it's fine to argue over basketball related topics. That's what makes this a great forum: there are a wide variety of opinions.

What doesn't need to occur are the ever more prevalent personal attacks on individuals. Nothing beneficial comes from that.

If we are going to argue about something in this forum let it be basketball related , not about how connie sleeps with joe newman and I am joe newman along with 15 other allegations of poster names.

We have WHAFAN , argues with every poster who is for the ABA or AGainst the ABA , u just have to disagree with him then he will name bash you.

Same with Bectond then now Bectond and OneBetter are in a posting war against each other.

Its not even about pro aba vs anti aba ....... the anti aba people are the main ones bashing each other and going personal against each other now.


This forum is a "jerry springer forum" the POSTERS have no credibility in the forum because all they do is attack each other , the days of talking about basketball are long gone.

While what you say may be true, remind us all again how this is ANY different than the ABA?

1) 1/3 or more of the ABA teams had what could probably be called worst seasons than Pittsburgh. At least Pittsburgh played their entire schedule, payed their players, had very nice venues, and on and on..... That's the complete opposite of many ABA teams.

2) Strong Island, New Jersey, and a host of other teams drew that poorly as well. Again, this is no better than the ABA.

3) The ABA lost way more teams than that! It's hard to even get an exact number because of the way teams appear, disappear, reappear w/ a different name, disappear again, all without proper press releases. Chuck and Fells, how many teams were lost this year in the ABA?


Again, the things you choose to bring up make is very likely that you are associated with the ABA league basement.

If basketball can not be discussed because it is being taken over by these "Jerry Springer Like Posters" then they should be kicked out of the forum.

I agree. Here is another plea to PLEASE act civil towards each other. Hold the personal attacks or I will send Chuck to everyone's house and he will sing the theme from the "Facts of Life" until you promise in blood to stay on topic and/or stop bashing each other.

The ABA had teams quit the playoffs.

CBA had a playoff championship.

ABA Championship a tainted little team cup trophy which i'm still trying to figure out if Alex bought that trophy since the other ABA trophies were BIG.

CBA's trophy may not look great but it has GREAT HISTORY IN IT. A winning and non tainted championship legacy.

ABA's. Let me not start.

The ABA makes the Jerry Springer show look like Oprah with its antics.

The CBA tends to acknowledge failures and wishes departing folk well.

The NBDL tends to wait until summer and manages to act professionally while sometimes squandering Daddy's trust money. Now that they've had the Dakota teams in the fold, we'll see what happens next.

ABA people play the "you did not see what you saw" card. I find this comical. If I had put money into the thing one way or another, I'd be furious to the point of making dart boards.

Therefore, I refuse to acknowledge that the ABA is about basketball.

the vermont frostheaves were rated the #1 minor league sports team over every team in the CBA and the NBDL

I would think its safe to say that the ABA's championship team is better then the CBA's.

The CBA Started with 10 teams was cutt to 8 before the season and finished with 7 teams.

Not only does the ABA have the #1 team in all of minor league basketball over the CBA , they also have teams , unlike the CBA where teams have folded down to 7 teams.
