If you look back that's what we've been saying all along. 8th team, Dawgs are a go, no 8th team, they're gone.

That's not the impression anyone got. The GBL was accused of harpooning the Dawgs and slinking out of town. Looks as if they are trying to land an eighth team, and keep the Dawgs alive (if they're even the team on the chopping block).

But the website wasn't the point. People have been roasting the GBL as if the Dawgs' departure has been a done deal. Unless you argue this Grand Junction thing is an elaborate ruse, that simply isn't the case. Now San Diego may yet fold, but I think it is clear that decision has not been made yet and the league is trying to prevent it.

My point is that the GBL has lied to me, personally. Not some gerally speaking thing, actual lies being told to me personally.

If the Dawgs are leaving, then so be it, if they stay, great, more baseball for San Diego, fantastic. In fact I hope Grand Junction works out for the GBL because then the league will be 8 and the Dawgs can stick around. But why lie about any of it? What good does it do? And one can't say that they aren't lying. They are.

From one of my other posts in another thread:
The San Diego UT Article says:
1- Smaller office
2- renegotiation with SDSU
3- two people manning the fort
4- Amit is quoted as saying: "There's nothing going on in San Diego different than any other of our markets this time of year."

Amit has told us personally:
1a- they were putting the office in a storage facility and selling off the office furniture
2a- they will be perusing legal action against SDSU for some sort of breach of contract (see $$ comment)
3a- no one is working the phantom office, they're on involuntary administrative leave.
4a- the other offices aren't loading up in U-Hauls and moving into storage facilities

So what, of the above is true? Which are lies? I don't know. But I do know that one thing can't be two things at once. Either we're being lied to and everything is peaches and cream, or the UT was lied to and the Dawgs are in trouble.

So, that's why it looks like I'm roasting the GBL. I don't take kindly to being lied to.
