Default Pacific NW Division

The NW division has its own website:

http://www.pacnorthwestaba.com/

I haven't checked to see if the other divisions have set anything up, but the NW teams are starting to list their schedules for the 2012-13 season.

Clearly a vote of NO in the confidence of Joe Newmans abilities. Sadly he is busy attracting the next ex-JuCo, ex-military, community activist type to send in 10k that the current ABA is ignored.

Due to numerous threats of legal action from certain people.......all of the above is my opinion only and it should be noted that I have never invested in the ABA. It is simply one mans opinion.

I wonder what benefit being attached to the ABA even provides? Why not simply change the name to the Pacific Basketball League (or something of that nature) and play on their own. I'm not sure whether this is more organized than the ABA, but the fact they have a schedule out this early (hell a published schedule at all) shows that they are a bit more organized.

Beyond the bluster, that we all see through but some might not, what does Joe provide for them that they want to hang on to? I'm thinking Joe doesn't have a copyright or patent on the 3D Rule, so they could still use the ABA's rules if they so chose. I doubt the red, white and blue ball does anything to pack people in, so that's a moot point. Has the TV deals Joe promised ever actually panned out? I don't remember hearing that they were aired. So what's the point of staying a part of the ABA?

A pertinent question to which the answer is "those initials".

Which only serves as a marketing tool for the owners to potentially dupe fans into thinking this is the same league as Dr. J's ABA. I don't think this has ever worked despite Joe's tries.

Nope.

And do you know why?

Because Newman lies.

A certain other former ABA leader swore he'd personally gone to Philadelphia to sign the ABA's TV contract with (what was then) Versus. How'd that work out?
