We just submitted the press release, but the skinny is this:
- All 4 teams returning
- Palm Beach renamed Knights; adds 3 to ownership group
- We opted to keep it 4 teams; easier to build up our brand
- Several market inquiries, but none compelling enough to add
- 12 game season
- Single elimination Playoffs
- FBA All-Star Game this year (likely in Palm Beach)
- FBA All-Star Game will include 3 point and slam dunk contest
- Season opening date: April 27th
On a side note, the Flight is going on our 4th season. Not bad for being a broke, detached from reality lunatic. >>CRICKETS<<

For the 2nd (or 3rd?) time I'd like to applaud the FBA for not caring what anyone thinks and just going with 4 teams..
I was one of the initial doubters in the success of the FBA, but you're definitely proving you want to build a solid foundation for the league.. it must have extremely been tempting to add a few more teams for your second season.. Frankly, your patience is impressive.
Good luck with the season, but for cripes sake Mark - try and win more than 2 or 3 games this year!
LOL...now I'm not one to make excuses. They are annoying to listen to, but...since I analyzed the crap out of the Flight's worst season ever, I need to point out that 6 of those 10 losses were by 5 points or less, 1 being an overtime loss, and 2 more being by 3 or less.
The good thing about that is that it shows that the league has competitive parity (although let's be honest, the Tampa Bay Rebels kicked the crap out of everyone most nights). The bad thing, for us, is that a loss is a loss. We were a game away from the WBA Championship, played in the CBL Championship, and then went 2-10. It really stunk!
We're returning 8 guys this year, all whom have been working super hard this off-season (one is actually playing minor league football, so he'll be in great shape). 5 of those players are in their 3rd season with us, and 3 will have been with us since the beginning. Hopefully the result is a big chip on our shoulders after last years disappointing season and a familiarity and chemistry that is better than all the other teams. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
