Well looks like barring a near miracle, Danville will not have a team this year. And no this is not a rumor this comes straight from their horses mouth. They are 2 weeks from closing up shop from what they say wonder how all these rumors of teams folding will play out in the UIFL owners meeting on Jan 14th/Jan 15th looks like they may be back down to 6 or 8 teams.

This is a well known fact they are done as are, carolina, kentucky, mississippi, tennessee. The only teams left in this league will be Haines and mink!!!! The teams that dont fold will start there own league or join existing league. ive been saying this for weeks, danville cant get sponsors because of the previous team doing so much damage to indoor footballs reputation in that town. I said this was coming for 2 months the first to tipoffs were Goodpaster going to evansville and saginaw going back to the CIFL. If the league was legit goodpaster would have stayed coaching in it and sting would have stayed playing in it. CIFL survives as always and haines takes the money and runs as always!!!! And i DONT work for any league or team.
Does Haines own Mississippi? Why would they be folding?
Also, why do teams keep going to old cities that former teams have done bad in? What is the reason teams do not go to new towns to start fresh where people do not already have a bad taste in their mouth?

Wow that was unfortunate to read.. Let that be a lesson to any would-be owners who stumble on this thread:
Nobody is going to care about your new team, least of all sponsors.. so when planning a budget I would assume your revenue is going to be $0 and make sure you have all the money you need to make it through the season before you launch..

I wonder what Marion, Cincinnati and Erie are thinking about right now?
I am unbiased and wouuldnt be suprised if all 3 end up there this year. maybe add in EKY,Jtown and maybe huntington(Assuming all are stable). 2 seperate divisions.

I thought the guy sold Johnstown to the UIFL to purchase Canton?
(Point being I thought Jtown was UIFL owned)

The issue is not that they go back to failed markets. The issue is that they're grossly undercapitalized from the start.
