Default Update Capitales de Quebec

Karl Gelinas, RHP, signed a new contract with the understanding that he will not be with the team on the road except once or twice during the regular season because of business commitments. He was lights-out in the playoffs: 2 shutouts. With the Federals a road team and the opening home games of Rockland transfered to Quebec because their new stadium won't be ready, that's 10 additional home games this year.

With Mathew Rusch and Dan Sausville, that's 3 of the 6 best ERAs in the league last year!

Rene Leveret, a power bat from the right side, is unhappy in Italy and might be coming back! There would only be the shortstop spot left to fill the roster.

The starting line-up would look like this:
Pete LaForest, catcher
Rene Leveret, 1st base
Josh Colafemina, 2nd base
TBD, shortstop
Mike Thompson, 3rd base
Sebastien Boucher, right field
Geofrey Tomlinson, center field
Bobby Wagner, left field
DH: does it matter?

Good news for les fans des Capitales... Bad news for the other teams!

Anyone else counting the hours? Sadly I won't be able to go to a game until Friday night. The Colonials have done a bang-up job of making their presence in the county known throughout the offseason. I fully expect the attendance to more than double this year.

Also, I'm calling it now; the Colonials are gonna dash all hopes of a threepeat for Quebec. It's gonna be a good summer.
